Norfolk’s largest home furnishers now have a number of vacancies for Warehouse Assistant / Drivers on a fixed-term contract for four months.
Based within our Distribution Centre in Fakenham, the main duties will include the accurate receipt of goods in, cross-referencing them against delivery notes and original orders. Manoeuvring stock throughout the Distribution Centre, delivering goods to all Company sites and customer’s homes as necessary, grounds maintenance and any other duties as required. This position involves heavy lifting and manual tasks on a daily basis.
The successful candidate will have a flexible and ‘can do’ attitude, good communication skills and the ability to work on their own initiative. We are looking for people who are of smart appearance and capable of completing distribution paperwork. A full clean driving licence is essential and a Class C1 (7.5 tonne) would be desirable.
This position is based on a 40 hour week, Monday to Friday, between 8.00am and 5.00pm and will include occasional Saturdays on a rotational basis and overtime. Candidates should live within 20 mile radius.
This is a fixed-term contract for four months initially. However, the contract may be extended if necessary and could lead to a permanent contract.
