Building Services Estimator – Mechanical Bias - required by building services / facilities management company based in Stratford London E15.   £35K - £50K+ depending on expertise and experience.

We provide Mechanical & Electrical Building Services i.e. heating, plumbing, air conditioning, ventilation and electrical to schools, hospitals, hotels, offices, pubs restaurants and domestic housing etc. Our clients are Local Authority’s, Housing Associations, NHS, Pub & Restaurant Chains, High Street outlets, Major FM Companies, Main Contractors, Consultants, and Architects etc. Our quality has achieved us several awards and recognition and membership to Trade Associations

We now seek to appoint an experienced Building Services Estimator with a Mechanical Bias to support the expansion of the company’s client base and areas of operation. Previous experience as an Estimator from acceptance of tender through to a conclusion including negotiating in an attempt to achieve awards. The successful candidate will become a pivotal part of the Development Team and Board – and so must demonstrate integrity, diligence and loyalty to the company at all times

Responsibilities:
•Interrogation and Audit of the invitations Specifications and Drawings.
•Considering alternative cost saving ideas at the tender stage
•Taking off materials and processing through an IT system (we have Estimation)
•Sending out and processing Sub Contractor, Materials and Plant Enquiries
•Understanding and Liaising with Ductwork, Electrical, Controls and other Specialist Sub Contractors.
•Seeking out new Sub Contractors and Suppliers
•Forming relationships with Main Contractors to create ‘partnership’ union.
•Ability to present SOR’s, Tender Modifications etc.
•Presenting for adjudication with a Director ‘the proposal’ of any bid prior to submission.
•Presentation of ‘the bid’
•Attending Pre – Contract / Tender Appraisal Meetings.
•Induction meeting with our Team upon an award being received.
•Directing ‘in house’ CAD drawing requirements
•Training staff working with you
