Calibration / Service Technician required by expanding business supplying and servicing Environmental Monitoring Systems to the pharmaceutical industry and NHS hospital trusts. Based in Finchampstead, nr Wokingham / Camberley, Berkshire £13K-£18K depending on skills and experience. Excellent career opportunity
You will support the calibration engineers in performing on-site calibrations on a wide variety of instrumentation that make up our environmental monitoring systems at customer sites across the South of England. This will largely involve working in clean room facilities and plant areas; generating and completing of calibration certification to a high standard; contributing to the support/service team in other ways when possible.
Key Skills:
Good practical aptitude is required together with a general interest in technology and computing. Previous experience in calibration is preferred, but not essential as job-specific training will be given. Good levels of numeracy and literacy with experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) are preferable, as well as a conscientious approach to work with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy. Technicians will be working predominantly as part of a team however, displaying initiative when required and possessing the flexibility to take on new tasks when necessary.
Qualifications:
GCSE Maths, English and Science at Grade C or above with a proactive and enthusiastic approach to work and the desire to learn new skills. A driving license is essential.
Technicians will be given training, and the opportunity to learn from engineers with a view to potential progression to the role of Senior Technician/Calibration Engineer in the future.
