Mechanical Design Engineer required by engineering company based in London NW9. c£25K+. Excellent career opportunity.
We are looking for a self motivated enthusiastic individual to join our Design Engineers Team. You will be responsible for the full life cycle of the product as well as giving product and application support to our global customer base.
Responsibilities:
-Create original designs with a strong focus on the aesthetics and functionality of the whole product and the ability to generate design concepts for the company's future portfolio.
-Work with suppliers to ensure drawings and models represent the exact details of any key manufacturing process.
-Create technical documentation including operator instructions and safety information in a clear concise manor using predominantly rendered CAD models.
-Generate BOM for product to provide accurate cost data to manufacturing and the sales team for special products
-Ensure that the Requirement specifications are met in the design concept of ‘Special’
Products
-Provide technical and product support to customer base when required.
-Prioritize work load to maximize commercial impact of Rapid Product Development ensuring company’s commercial strategies are met
Qualifications and Skills:
-A Degree or equivalent in Product Design, Mechanical Design Engineering or Industrial Design
-Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling platform - Autodesk Inventor is essential
-Product Simulation and Design Validation using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is beneficial
-In-depth knowledge of Design analysis methods like FMEA, FTA etc.
-Proven approach to innovative design solutions from concept to production
-Proven ability in a product design role within a consumer goods, automotive, medical devices or industrial safety domain would be an advantage
-Experience in Electromechanical product design is beneficial
- Customer focused, team player, good planning and organizational skills
- Autodesk vault administrator experience would be considered highly advantageous.
