Network Architect required by a leading provider of global IT solutions and managed services based in Slough. Highly competitive salary and benefits package offered.
We now have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced and capable Network Architect to join the team. You will be required to provide technical direction for solutions from a Network standpoint and deliver architecture design tasks to an acceptable quality within agreed timeframes.
With the ability to lead technical discussions and engage at all levels across the business, the successful candidate will act as a source of information and advice to architects and pre-sales engineers as well as problem solver and trusted partner to end customers.
 -Design and build network components of the LUK Platform
 -Develop and maintain consistent architecture standards for the LUK business
 -Subject matter expert for Networking within the Platform Team
 -Develop and maintain Hosted and Managed Platform Architecture
 -Develop and maintain Platform and associated technology roadmaps 
 -Provide Level 3 Support for Platform Network, Firewall and VPN technologies
 -Provide Level 2/3 Support for Platform Compute and Storage technologies
 -Develop / Support key operational processes, including change, problem, incident and demand management to ensure Platform meets regulatory and customer requirements.
 -Take a key role in key client projects and tasks to ensure successful delivery
Candidate must have extensive, demonstrable experience in the following areas:
 -Providing Enterprise Infrastructure Architecture designs and standards in Metro-HA and Beyond Metro DR configurations
 -Providing Level 2/3 support for key Infrastructure Technologies
 - Producing, supporting and maintaining products in a managed service context.
 - Interpreting, understanding and solving complex technical problems. 
 -Understanding Cloud Platforms (SaaS, IaaS) from a service perspective.
 -Understanding Vulnerability Information, Assessment and Management processes
 -Understanding of Cloud and Infrastructure automation and orchestration 
 -Regulatory frameworks, such as PCI-DSS, and a good understanding of the work required attaining and maintaining these
As well as these, the ideal candidate would also demonstrate broad technical knowledge and experience of the key platform technologies:
 -Cloud solutions: SaaS, IaaS, Hybrid Cloud
 -Cisco Data Centre products: UCS, Nexus
 -Cisco Security products: ASA, ACS
 -NetApp Storage: 7 Mode, Cluster Mode
 -Hypervisor: vSphere, Hyper-V
 -Virtualisation: Software Defined Networking, Cisco ACI or VMware NSX
 -Domain Services: Active Directory, DNS, Certification
 -CCIE or similar level of knowledge
