IT Helpdesk Night Support Analyst (1st Line)  required by IT company based in Basingstoke. Salary range £18K- £21K depending on skills and experience. Approx hours: 9pm-5.30am.

We provide managed IT services, technology solutions and outsourced IT for business and the public sector across the UK. We now have an exciting opportunity for an IT Helpdesk Support Analyst to provide 1st line service desk support to external customers, assisting them with hardware and software problems via phone and email.

With at least 2 years’ experience in an IT Support environment, you will demonstrate a strong aptitude for attention to detail and good customer service as maintaining an effective level of communication with all customers is essential.


- Fault calls/Request for Service (Recording and monitoring of all fault calls & requests for service on our ITSM and/or our clients ITSM Tool; Allocation of calls to appropriate support level or Third Party Maintenance Company).

- Systems Support (Microsoft  Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8: Basic knowledge of Microsoft  Windows Server 2003/2008/2012 and Office2003/2007/2010/2013 and Office 365.   Bespoke Application Support - Training will be provided).   

- System Administration (Record all faults and related occurrences on the ITSM system:  Produce and update documentation of IT systems: Upkeep of IT procedures (under direction of Line Manager) 

Desirable Knowledge:

- Microsoft Certified (MCSA)  in Windows 7 and/or Windows 8
- Understanding of ITIL v3 within a working environment
