Quality Manager required by expanding company supplying Environmental Monitoring Systems to the pharmaceutical industry and NHS hospital trusts, based in  Finchamstead, Berkshire. Competitive salary package offered. Occasional visits to company premises in Runcorn and Stirling as well as customer sites around the UK will be required as part of the role.
We supply Environmental Monitoring Systems to the pharmaceutical industry and NHS hospitals trusts and now have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Manager to join the team.
You will be responsible for leading and managing the quality function throughout the company, reporting directly to the Operations Director. The ideal candidate will have a strong practical knowledge of quality management systems based on international standards, including previous experience of implementing, improving and maintaining the ISO 9001 standard. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be confident in dealing with internal staff to all levels and commercial, corporate, national and international customers.
-Ensure that the Quality Management System (QMS) is implemented, adopted and adhered to.
-Ensure that the QMS is developed, maintained and updated in accordance with ISO 9001, and define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff.
-Ensure that QMS documents and procedures are appropriately controlled and records are correctly filled out and archived.
-Develop and implement quality management strategy and plans, including documents and systems to support.
-Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
-Oversee the internal audit timetable and ensure it is fully implemented by carrying out audits and delegating audits to suitably trained personnel. Drive compliance improvements which result from internal audits.
-Investigate and report on non-conforming work and ensure that deviations are recorded and rectified by implementing preventive and corrective actions.
-Undertake training in quality related processes and to promote cross training of different departments.
Skills and Experience 
-Previous experience in a similar role is essential, preferably a quality management role within an ISO 9001 accredited company.
-In depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems, ISO 9001 and experience of conducting audits. ISO 9001 Audit Qualification would be advantageous.
-A relevant degree or HND business management with quality management modules. A Quality Management qualification is desirable.
-Experience of working in pharmaceutical or NHS / healthcare business would be beneficial.
