Credit Risk Manager required by insurance finance provider based in Central London W1. Competitive salary, commission and benefits package offered. We are looking to hire a Credit Risk Manager to ensure our credit risk management framework remains appropriate and proportional via the management of all aspects of credit risk, the oversight of the conduct of the business operations, as well as the key IT system.

•    Ensuring effective management of credit risk, identifying key risks and ensuring that appropriate controls/actions are in place to mitigate the risks
•    Develop and maintain a credit risk monitoring and reporting system for the collection, analysis, and storage of credit risk data from around the business as well as from external sources
•    Take control of setting the direction and appetite of the credit function, with a view to building a team as the business grows
•    Analysing the creditworthiness of counterparties and providing recommendations/approvals for the provision of finance
•    Liaising directly with brokers to ensure the needs of their clients are appropriately balanced with the needs of the company
•    Analysing the creditworthiness of insurers to ensure the portfolio of loans is adequately collateralised
•    Collating, monitoring and analysing MI produced from the loan management system data and reporting trends to senior management
•    Regulatory reporting in conjunction with the CFO
•    Regularly reviewing the credit policy in conjunction with the CFO and CEO, in line with business risk profile, market practice and applicable regulations
•    Understanding of UK Consumer Credit Act legislation, including responsible lending and affordability assessment and requirements of dealing with customers in arrears/default
•    Review and amendment of business policies and procedures (P&Ps) where there is a credit risk element
•    External liaison and relationship management with regulators, funders, advisers and other key partners as applicable in conjunction with the CFO
•    Assisting with customer services, where credit risk element is evident
Required skills and experience:
•    Credit risk management experience in financial services is a pre-requisite
•    Relevant degree qualified education (ie; Accounting, Business or Commerce)
•    Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships with stakeholders across all levels
•    Ability to work to deadlines, along with the flexibility to manage changing priorities and the ability to multi-task with high attention to detail.
•    Proven ability to sustain high level of performance under pressure and remain focused
•    Ability to self motivate, self manage and work both autonomously and as part of a team
