Level 2 / 3 Nursery Assistant required by expanding Day Nursery based in Bournemouth, Dorset. Remuneration up to £8.00 per hour, depending on qualification. Part Time role up to 30hrs/week.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Level 2 minimum Nursery Assistant to assist the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager in organising and providing an Early Years facility for children aged 0 -5 years that conforms to both Ofsted and Early Years standards.

Key Responsibilities:
-Work with children as directed by the Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, to meet the needs of each child whilst conforming to Early Years principles and standards.
-Participate in the general care of children in the Nursery and be responsible for designated key children
-Participate in planning and evaluation sessions
-Have a clear understanding of planning for children’s development
-Observe key children, recognise developmental needs and ensure these are met through planning and evaluation and are recorded regularly and appropriately
-Ensure that all learning activities are safe, fun ,creative and stimulating ensuring they meet the needs of all children
-Maintain appropriate records and registers
-Liaise with parents and external agencies
-Attend and participate in staff meetings, supervisions, peer observations and appraisals and be willing to undertake any additional training in support of personal development
-Implement and promote the policy for equality and diversity and recognise cultural differences and needs
Operate within all agreed health, hygiene, safety and fire procedures 

You:
-A minimum of two years employed experience of working in a childcare setting. (not placement)
-Experience of liaising with parents and carers
-Ability to work as part of a team
-Must be able to produce legible, handwritten documentation
-Understanding of Ofsted requirements and ability to demonstrate a good knowledge of Early Years standards
-Knowledge and understanding of child development including milestones in all areas of EYFS standards
-Knowledge and understanding of what constitutes good quality provision
-Ability to plan, evaluate and record children’s development and achievements
