Marketing, Events and Learner Recruitment Assistant required by leading training and work based skills provider in North London N17 with offices around North / East & West London.
Salary negotiable depending on skills and experience. Competitive basic. Recent graduates / college leavers with some work place experience considered.
We provide high-quality accredited basic skills, work-based and vocational training across 7 training centres in North and East London, for both employed and unemployed individuals. Sectors we cover are Health & Care, IT Professional, Accountancy, Management, Languages, Business Administration and Teaching/ Learning at levels 1-5.
This role is specifically to join a team working on a pan London IT professional skills project that will engaging with tech businesses and students aged 16-30 in London. The objective of this programme is to provide digital skills training leading into apprenticeships, employment or higher education opportunities for participants aged 16-30.
We are looking for a dynamic individual, who thrives on networking with external organisations, is target driven, enjoys working with young people, and has a real passion to make a difference in their lives. In this role you will be responsible for developing and delivering the recruitment process, this includes all set start targets that are attributable to programmes for young people. You will also be responsible for building up a database and recording all of the referrals and starts on a weekly/monthly basis. Targets will be measured on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
You will be expected to take responsibility for your own professional development and participate in relevant internal and external training/activities. The organisations dress code is smart / formal.
Key Responsibilities:
-Actively promote next generation Digital Skills Programmes to appropriate and eligible 16-30 year olds.
-Carry out sales & marketing calls to all local stakeholders that are linked to people aged 16-30.
-Create and maintain daily, weekly and monthly records of: outreach activity, information sessions, programme starts and current occupancy reports.
-Identify and organise primary referral agencies, within London
-Offer initial advice, information and guidance to learners on the most suitable programme route available to support the learner’s into a positive progression.
-Organise and complete internal weekly information sessions for potential new learners
-Arrange and facilitate all student initial assessments
-Conduct 1-2-1 assessments with each learner to assess current status and individual needs
-Carry out the initial phase of the learner start / induction process
-Research, plan and facilitate all up and coming events, create an events diary to ensure effective use of time. This will include external events coordinated by a marketing team.
-Create and circulate a regular newsletter via e-shot to all stakeholders inclusive of learner success stories.
-Recruit a selection of companies to participate in work experience opportunities for young people
-Maintain and sustain contact with referral agencies on a regular basis
-Promote regularly monthly open mornings and invite referrals in to look at our provision
-Administrating and completing paperwork associated with programme within required timescales.
-Complete any other duties as reasonably requested by your Line Manager
