Finance Officer required by construction company based in Bradford. Salary £28,000 - £30,000 depending on skills and experience.
 
We are now looking to recruit an experienced Finance Officer to join the team, reporting to the company Directors. Experience of Sage is essential. Knowledge of Construct would be highly desirable; however training will be provided for the right candidate.
 
Responsibilities:
-Inputting purchase ledger invoices/credit notes
-Preparing and issuing payments to suppliers
-Updating customer/supplier contacts on Sage
-Bank reconciliations
-Nominal ledger
-Reconciling payments received
-Dealing with general enquires relating to the accounts
-Reconciling company credit cards and expenses
-Generating and dealing with HMRC VAT returns
-Construction CIS, including verifications, retentions, discounts and certificates
-Producing a monthly cash book and reconciling all accounts
-Dealing with the accounts monthly and yearly period ends
-Liaising with the external company accountant
-Assisting with payroll and other ad hoc administrative duties as required 

Skills and Experience:
-Experience in a sage accounts and payroll role
-Good level of IT literacy including using Excel
-A formal accounting qualification would be desirable
