Energy Data Analyst required by energy management company based in Coventry. Salary £21,000. Excellent career opportunity.

We now have an exciting opportunity for an Energy Data Analyst to work within our client’s offices (major retail chain) as part of their energy team. As an Energy Analyst, you will support the energy team by providing accurate reports and management information. They will be responsible for managing exception alarms and to identify and resolve deviations in consumption. The Energy Data Analyst will also assist with the communications and reporting to contractors, relating to energy efficiency works. Experience within the utility / energy management sector is essential. Analytical skills and the ability to manipulate data using Excel are also important requirements for the role.

Responsibilities:
- On a weekly basis, update the report source document and produce an accurate Carbon report.
- Put together a weekly Headline report, using a number of sources, to explain current energy/budget position.
- On an ongoing basis, identify and investigate consumption issues by interrogating a dedicated software system.
- Assign actions to exception alarms and liaise with FM for these to be investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
- Provide management reporting based on the exception alarm actions.
- To follow procedures to produce reports and analysis to strict deadlines. To sense check reports and take ownership of the accuracy and presentation and to understand what the client requires them for.
- To request information from sites via email or the telephone and follow through queries on a regular basis.
- To assist in the development of new reports to fulfil the client’s requirements.
- To share ideas and relevant information with colleagues.

- Analytical, process driven approach
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to relay complex technical concepts or matters to non-technical audiences clearly.
- Good co-ordinating and influencing skills
- Able to work both as part of a team as well as use own initiative
- Proficient in understanding complex technical processes and IT
- To be able to prioritise workload
