Our client, based in Farnborough, is a specialist engineering company dedicated to delivering world class products, services, and solutions in the world of hazard detection and protection.

Due to an internal promotion they are recruiting for a Planning & Production Manager .

Principal Responsibilities:

• Management of Production Staff to ensure they are equipped with the resources required to meet customer delivery dates and company revenue targets.
• Assist with the maintenance of the master planning schedule within the ERP system.
• Assist with the generation of manufacturing reports through the extraction and manipulation of data from the ERP System.
• Liaise with engineering department to ensure that DCR’s which affect items in production are actioned in a timely manner.
• Provide feedback to engineering department on manufacturing issues.
• Liaise with Projects department to ensure product availability in accordance with project schedule and facilitate system build, test, and WAT.
• Liaise with Sales & Projects department to support commissioning and site work where appropriate.
• Ensure customer repairs are completed in a cost effective and timely manner.
• Support the Management Systems (e.g. ISO 9001; etc.) in all day to day work
• Cooperate with the Company’s arrangements for health and safety
• Be considerate of the environment in all business dealings
• Abide by the Company’s stated values and support the mission statement
• Observe the Company’s Equal Opportunities Policy

Parallel Responsibilities

• Progress chasing
• Attendance at daily huddle meetings
• Attendance at weekly production meetings
• Attendance at design review meetings
• Active participation in value stream mapping activities.
• Active participation in strategic deployment process development

Reports to Logistics Manager

Qualifications & Experience

Qualified to minimum HNC/HND level or equivalent in an Electronics/Mechanical Engineering discipline.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX2012 or similar ERP system.
Extensive experience in manufacturing production management and planning.
Competent in the use Microsoft Office applications.
Skills Ability to motivate & manage.
Data analysis & report generation.
