Production Planner / Coordinator required by engineering company based in Govan, Glasgow. Salary negotiable depending on skills and experience. 
 
Established in 1927, we now have a world-wide reputation for the manufacture and supply of diesel engine spare parts and the maintenance of diesel engines and ancillary equipment. We are now looking to recruit an experienced Production Planner / Co-ordinator to be responsible for managing parts production and managing stores availability.
 
Experience of the machine and engine maintenance sector is essential for this role and you will be able to sell sub-contract work to third parties. You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a production environment and a relevant Bachelor's or Master's Degree
 
Duties:
-Production of parts to customers’ orders ensuring quality control.
-Help to supervise and manage stock and part costings.
-Review / reconciliation of all monthly production and stock record including stock, WIP.
-Report to the Chief Executive/Managing Director with timely and accurate information on all delinquencies and failures
-Assist maintaining Quality and Health & Safety in line with Board policies.
-Collaborate with production and technical team.
-Help manage daily, weekly and monthly utilisation of staff resources and forward planning.
-Examine all production reports and data closely to check for discrepancies
-Ensure remanufactured and returned items are controlled and repaired if possible.
-Suggest updates and improvements for Production IT systems.
-Ensure that the stock reporting systems comply with current best practice and requirements including -Lloyds Register standards.
-Ensure that systems prevent errors in production and waste is minimised.
