Production Planning/ Procurement Manager

Our client a specialist engineering fcompany based near Alton, is looking for a Production Planning/Procurement Manager.

Key Responsibilities will include:-
• Setting and running the manufacturing schedule.
• Component ordering and scheduling.

Outside supplier management.
• Purchasing and pricing negotiations.
• Progress chasing.

Internal supplier liaising and scheduling.
• Progress Chasing.
• Stock Risk Management.
• Updating sales department for customer feedback.
• Using MRP system.
• Metrics reporting into General Manager and wider group.

Key Attributes:-
• Driven, efficient and hardworking.
• Able to work effectively as part of a small team.
• Planning and organising.
• Ability to take full responsibility for role.
• An attitude of continual improvement.

Key Skills, Experience and Training:-
• Previous experience in production planning role.
• Experience with an MRP system – ‘Syteline’ preferred.
• Good general understanding of wider business needs.

Demonstrable skills in the following.
• Production Planning.
• Purchasing.
• Stock Risk management.
• Formal training and qualifications based around above advantageous.
