Claims Administrator

Claims Administrator required by Freight & Logistics Company based in Low Moor, Bradford, West Yorkshire. Salary dependent on skills and experience. Previous experience in the transport sector or claims administration is desirable but not essential. Tenacity, attention to detail, an analytical mind and the ability to follow set procedures are all required personal qualities. 
We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Claims Administrator to join the team, being part of the process that checks third party claims against the company and determining liability in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions. Using web-based software, the ability to comply with the established processes and procedures is essential for this role.
Key Tasks:
-Gather all relevant information and prepare a file for each claim.
-Analyse all data/information in respect of the claim, calculating, measuring, counting, checking dates/times, assessing action, identifying errors (by either party).
-Consider the facts and support recommendations on liability and the extent of liability.
-Liaise with Finance and the Claimant, ensure appropriate authorisation, and ensure the claim is settled with minimum disruption to the third party.
-Forward the information to a senior internal level to dispute and challenge the claim if necessary.
-Maintain all records and files of ongoing and concluded claims. 

Experience and Qualifications:
-GCSE/’A’ level standard of education required-with GCSE passes in Maths and English as a minimum standard
-Good level of understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (intermediate standard), Outlook and Word
-Numeracy and literacy skills
