Payroll / HR Administrator required wood recycling company based in West Bromwich, West Midlands. Salary negotiable depending on skills and experience.
Established for over 20 years, we have become recognised as pioneers of the word recycling industry, ensuring that used timber does not end up in landfill, but rather is recycled for other purposes such as playgrounds, landscapes, bedding and surfaces.
We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR / Payroll Administrator to join the team. Proven payroll and HR experience is essential for the role.   CIPD qualified or part qualified highly desirable. This is predominately an HR role with approx. 1 day/week allocated to Payroll.
Responsibilities will include:
-Coordinate the recruitment, selection and induction process of new employees.
-Manage absence and reduce levels of absence and lateness.
-Liaise with Company solicitors as required on matters relating to employment law.
-Attend disciplinary and grievance hearings,
-Monitor reviews and performance appraisal
-Maintain and update Personnel Files and Procedures.
-Support employees on matters relating to pay and employment. 

-Process weekly payroll and BACS payments
-Prepare PAYE payments including deductions
-Enter figures into Wage Journal.
-Administer company Pension Scheme,
-Update government departments as necessary (work permits, recruitment, PAYE etc.) 

You will also be required to act as the general Administrator for Health & Safety in the company, maintaining and updating the Action Plan and Training Matrix.
Key Skills and Experience
-Proven payroll experience including year end
-All round generalist HR knowledge, preferably CIPD qualified or part qualified
-Professional, yet friendly approach, with the ability to communicate at all levels
-Ability to work under pressure
-Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint
