Packaging Graphic Designer required for Temporary Maternity Cover position (12 Months) starting February 2020 based in Harrow, West London. Salary £22-£25K depending on skills and experience. We've got some big new product development plans and we're looking for an expert packaging graphic designer who can bring ideas to life for a market leading FMCG multi fragrance & toiletries brand. We need someone who is ready to tackle the big projects as well multi task the small day to day tasks.
Responsibilities:
-Reporting and working very closely with the Head of NPD
-Designing packaging for all current products and new product development
-Collating conceptual mood board experiences for future product development
-Creating artwork for prototype product development
-Designing new product development presentations for UK and Export Markets
-Consistently coming up with original, creative ideas and taking them from concept to production
-Identifying gaps in the market and create aspiration & innovative product design
-Executing both large and small creative briefs to a high standard
-Providing on brand ideas and visuals for new product types, new concepts and packaging
-Producing artwork for print
-Project managing briefs and internal expectations
-Presenting and pitching ideas to stakeholders
Skills and Experience:
You’ll need creative packaging and commercial design experience. You’ll have the ability to adapt to the project briefs, be conceptual and follow creative direction. You'll be used to taking on projects from the beginning and have the ability to multi-task large workload. You’ll be able meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You'll have advanced knowledge of Creative Suite, be excellent at setting up artwork files. Finally, attention to detail is a must!
-Educated to a degree level or 2 years Technical College in a design discipline
-2-3 years Packaging Graphic Design experience is essential
-Experience in health & beauty is preferably but not essential
-Impressive portfolio preferably including some examples of design for FMCG products
-Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships
-An ability to manage your own workload from start to finish in a timely manner
-Proactive, Self-Motivated and Driven
-An in-depth knowledge of Creative Suite CC
