As an R&D Electronic Engineer you will be developing cutting edge electronic systems.
You will be working on a variety of projects, from rapid developments with tight timescales to full scale system development. Working closely with specialists from across a number of disciplines you will be solving technically challenging problems. You must already have entitlement to permanent work in the UK.

Key accountabilities:
-Delivery of fully working PCBs
-Create circuit schematics and layout multi-layer PCBs using Altium CAD
-Schematic Capture and PCB layout
-Development of power, digital and analogue circuits, DSP, FPGA, microcontroller based circuits.
-Compliance with EMC and Low Voltage Directives and other standards (e.g. environmental)
-Choosing appropriate components, justifying the design by analysis and testing
-Development and maintenance of digital/analogue circuitry and embedded software code
-Investigate field and production issues, implementing changes if needed
-Reliability and regulatory testing of products
-Product integration, verification and validation including component testing, system testing, performance testing, test planning and documentation
-Systems definition and design
-Modelling and simulation
-Requirements definition, analysis and verification
Minimum skills/experience required:
-Masters Degree in Electronic Engineering
-You must be able to work both autonomously and within a team to creatively solve problems and take concepts through to deployed products.
-High levels of motivation and integrity
-Flexibility, innovation and commitment to deliver
-Previous experience in an electronics design or production environment
-Experience with practical analogue and digital hardware
-Be proficient in Altium
-Must be able to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing
The ideal candidate will:
-Have Chartered Engineer status
-Be confident using small power tools (e.g. soldering equipment etc)
-Be prepared to travel within the UK and beyond if required
-Be happy to be involved in the commissioning and installation of systems -including working on offshore platforms
-Be prepared to undertake sea trials when required
