One of the UK’s leading independent training providers delivering Apprenticeships in the workplace is expanding its team and is looking for a Hairdressing / Barbering Tutor to cover the North West (primarily Merseyside and Cheshire). Based from home you will undertake the delivery and assessment of Level 2 & 3 Hairdressing and Barbering Apprenticeship Standards and Functional Skills in the workplace.
Salary is negotiable (£21K-£24K) depending on skills and experience. Permanent full-time 35 hours per week but we may look at 4 days per week for the right candidate. Use of your own car is essential. Occasional visits to Head Office in Hemel Hempstead and a DBS check will be required
You will be responsible for managing your own diary along with a caseload of around 35 learners, supporting them through their qualifications. This will include 1-1 teaching and delivery of all aspects of the apprenticeship and work-based assessment at the learner’s workplace
Essential Requirements:
-Hold an assessor qualification (TAQA/A1/D32-33)
-Hold a teaching qualification (PTLLS/AET minimum)
-Hold NVQ Level 3 in Hairdressing and/or Barbering
-Hold Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths or equivalent
-Competent IT and communication skills
-Experience in a similar role – either apprenticeship delivery & assessment or delivering accredited hairdressing/barbering training/courses
-Strong occupational background within the hairdressing/barbering sector
-Able to meet targets and deadlines and manage diary effectively
-Driver with own vehicle and clean licence and comfortable with travelling
-Eligible to live and work in the UK
